Tatiana Kantor’s tenure at WCH has been a cornerstone of her dedication to healthcare. “Working closely with providers, payers, and internal teams has given me a comprehensive understanding of medical billing, credentialing, and the daily challenges healthcare professionals face,” she explains. Her role in streamlining processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting patients and providers has deepened her commitment to the field. “It’s rewarding to contribute to a system that directly impacts care delivery,” she adds.

The opportunity to lead the Tashkent AAPC chapter was a natural fit for Tatiana. “I was inspired by the chance to connect professionals across borders, promote continuous education, and share WCH’s expertise in an ever-evolving industry,” she says. She sees the chapter as a platform to foster global collaboration and elevate professional standards in healthcare.

How will the new chapter, in synergy with WCH, empower AAPC members and support their career advancement?

Tatiana envisions the chapter as a dynamic resource for AAPC members, amplified by WCH’s deep industry knowledge. “By leveraging WCH’s expertise in billing, credentialing, compliance, and education, we’ll offer practical insights, mentorship, and hands-on learning opportunities that go beyond textbooks,” she shares. The chapter’s initiatives will include:

  • Workshops and webinars focused on certification preparation and industry trends.

  • Cross-border networking to connect members with peers and experts worldwide.

  • Mentorship programs providing guidance from seasoned professionals.

“Our goal is to build a supportive community where members earn their credentials and thrive in their careers,” Tatiana emphasizes. With WCH’s backing, the chapter will empower professionals to navigate the complexities of healthcare with confidence.

Slava Kurdov: Sharing Knowledge and Inspiration

How has your experience at WCH Service Bureau shaped your passion for healthcare, and what inspired you to take on a role in the new AAPC chapter?

Slava Kurdov’s work at WCH, particularly in managing medical claims denials and reviewing documentation, has fueled his passion for precision in healthcare. “Appealing claims and processing medical records requires in-depth knowledge, honed through AAPC exam preparation and sustained by webinars and events,” he explains. This rigorous process has underscored the importance of expertise in medical coding and billing.

Slava’s inspiration to join the chapter’s leadership stems from a memorable moment during his 2010 Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam. “My proctor was incredibly professional and supportive, even driving me to the bus station afterward,” he recalls. Her dedication inspired Slava to give back to the AAPC community as Vice President, sharing WCH’s expertise and fostering professional growth.

What key advice would you offer new chapter members to maximize their AAPC membership and excel in their roles?

Slava advocates for continuous learning and active engagement. “I recommend subscribing to AAPC’s annual webinar package,” he advises. “They cover critical topics, help earn CEUs, and expand your knowledge.” He also encourages members to explore AAPC forums. “They’re a valuable resource for insights, but always verify information. You can contribute by sharing your experiences or asking questions,” he adds. By staying proactive, members can fully leverage their AAPC membership to advance their careers.

Elizaveta Bannova: Fostering Education and Community

How has your experience at WCH Service Bureau shaped your passion for healthcare, and what inspired you to take on a role in the new AAPC chapter?

Elizaveta Bannova’s work at WCH has given her a profound appreciation for the administrative backbone of healthcare. “Working on billing, compliance, and provider support has shown me how essential efficient systems are to medical practices,” she says. This experience has highlighted the impact of non-clinical roles on patient outcomes. “It’s motivated me to improve systems and help providers focus on patient care,” she adds.

As Education Officer, Elizaveta is excited to shape the chapter’s educational mission. “The opportunity to design programs that support healthcare professionals in their learning journey was incredibly inspiring,” she shares. Her role allows her to extend WCH’s commitment to education on a global stage.

What kind of events will be organized through the chapter this year?

Elizaveta is thrilled to share that the chapter will launch with an inauguration event in June 2025. “This will kick off a series of in-person and virtual training sessions tailored for healthcare professionals,” she reveals.
